Under Rep. Lamar Smith, the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology has been leading the charge on climate change denial. Now, in this time of transition, the committee is doubling down on its rejection of science.

Today, more than at any other point in our history, we need a government that is committed to science, and to defining and creating a more sustainable future.

I’m confident that, as generational priorities shift, this trend toward the denial of science in government will reverse. But, the question is, will it happen quickly enough?

Today is January 19th, 2o17. It is not a normal day.
