A federal judge in Washington state temporarily blocked the President’s travel ban last Friday.  Rather than taking the news like a grown-up, the President tweeted the following:

It turned out that the judge’s opinion wasn’t that ridiculous, nor was it overturned; two days later, a federal appeals court rejected a request by the Justice Department to immediately restore the travel ban.

But, let’s get back to the President’s most recent childish tweet. Joe Scarborough summed it up perfectly:

“When a president tweets insults at a Hollywood star, the dignity of his office is tarnished. When a commander in chief uses Twitter to attack a loyal military ally, America’s friends across the globe become unsettled. But when a president uses social media to question the legitimacy of a federal judge following an inconvenient (and temporary) outcome, that is simply unacceptable.”

Bottom line: The President’s behavior is not normal, and is further evidence for his lack of fitness for the job.
