Another story emerged this week about plummeting fish stocks.

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, overfishing is rampant around the world with 90 percent of the world’s fisheries fully exploited or facing collapse.

The same is true of how humans use land for agriculture, and how we continue to pollute the atmosphere with greenhouse gases that exacerbate the risks from climate change.

When a species exceeds the carrying capacity of the environments upon which it depends, it too faces collapse.

A storm is coming, and in the not-too-distant future, it will affect every single living person on the planet.
