Yesterday, I wrote that a majority of voters in all 50 states support the United States remaining in the Paris Climate Agreement.

Now comes word that many prominent American businesses are also asking that the United States honor the agreement it signed in 2015.

In full-page advertisements that appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and New York Post, several companies—including Apple, Microsoft, Google, Unilver, and Levi Strauss & Co—say that continued participation in the agreement by the United States will help them to better manage economic and business-related risks associated with climate change.

(Better risk management is one element of the business case for sustainability.)

Of course, a real business man would have known this already.

Today is Tuesday, the 16th of May, 2017.

It’s not a normal day.
