The Republican side of the United States Congress has neither patience nor funding to address the risks associated with climate change.

But, it appears they do have the time to discuss, and the money to give, to a space army.

The House Armed Services Committee voted 60 to 1 (60 to 1!) in favor of a bill that would create the Air Force’s Space Space Corps, which would cost the county billions.

Its mission? “[P]roviding combat-ready space forces that enable the commanders of the combatant commands to fight and win wars.” That would be, fight and win wars in outer space, I presume. Wow.
