It’s been over six months since Republicans took hold of both houses of the United States Congress, and the White House.
However, in spite of complaint after complaint about President Obama while he was in office, Republicans in the federal government have mustered next to nothing legislatively since the inauguration of Donald Trump.
A most recent case in point: Yet another collapse of Republicans’ efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.
Why, I wonder.
Could it be that that they lack both competence and ideas?
All this reminds me of the scene in 2008’s The Dark Knight when the Joker confesses that he’s all bluster and chaos, but without much of a plan.
Yup, the Republicans are like Joker.
But, in this case, the joke’s on us.
It’s Tuesday the 18th of July, 2017. It’s not a normal Tuesday.
