On Monday, Donald Trump was asked by a reporter about why he had not yet spoken with the families of four special operations solders killed in action in Niger nearly two weeks ago.

His response?

Said Trump, “If you look at President Obama and other presidents, most of them didn’t make calls. A lot of them didn’t make calls. I like to call when it’s appropriate.”

That’s a bald-faced lie, and it is not normal.

Trump’s latest lies drew an angry rebuke from many former White House officials, including Alyssa Mastromonaco, President Obama’s Deputy Chief off Staff.
